This is Amy + Jacky from Pressure Cook Recipes. How was your week? What did you cook? As we were heading to grab some dinner the other day, we saw a brand new cozy Persian restaurant. Without any online reviews or recommendation from friends, we instantly looked at each other and said let’s do it. So glad we did! We had a wonderful chat with the friendly owner – who have only been in Canada from Iran for less than 2 years. He was an engineer back home, but decided to open his own restaurant here as he settles in his new home. He said most local Persian restaurants only serve Kabab, so he wanted to introduce more Persian cuisines to the local community. *loving the amazing saffron aroma* :) We ordered Kashk-e-Badenjan (Fire-Roasted Eggplant), Baghali Polo with Lamb Shank, Ghormeh Sabzi (Persian Herb) Stew, Nan-E Barbari (Persian Flatbread), Shol-e-Zard (Saffron Rice Pudding).
