  1. Made the BBQ chicken – and it turned out just as you said and pictured.
It was delicious! Thanks for working these recipes out and posting for all us IP users.
What a great way to cook!

  2. In the recipe for beef pot roast – we are told to saute the onion & mushrooms for 2 minutes, but no instructions remove and hold aside these items – so they are left in the pot to cook for the full 445 minutes plus.

Question: were the slced onions and mushrooms to have been taken out of the pot before the 45 miutes cooking time?

    Just wondering…

    1. Hi Mavis,

thank you for your question 🙂

The sliced onions and mushrooms are cooked for the full 45 minutes. You can set aside half of the mushrooms and add in at the end for more texture.
The onions will be mostly disintegrated into the gravy and add to the flavor.

Happy New Year to you and your family

  3. Got my 1st Instant Pot today in the mail…I’ve been printing a LOT of your recipes!! Going to be a tough one to pick the 1st!

I’m glad this recipe isn’t in the pressure cooker – I was wondering how you get the bread nice and toasty in the pressure cooker!

I’ve been making grilled cheese’s for YEARS and I never thought of making it that way – Toasting the INSIDE as well as the out.

I just want to go out of my way to thank for you posting these recipes, you could have bundled them up in a cookbook, but this way (offering, testing and eating..) you can give little cooking tips and respond to comments from InstaChefs! This site interested me far more than any others, so keep up the good work and thanks on behalf of all those searching for recipes that didn’t want to shell out $$ for a cookbook. (FYI I bought a cookbook with mine, flipped through it at lunch and only a handful of the dozens of recipes interested me VS the majority of the recipes on your site appealing to my family’s tastes.

    Thanks again!
