Chinese soups are nutritious, soothing, and comforting to drink.

This is what Cantonese moms & wives are known for!

Asian cultures are generally more reserved when it comes to showing affection to our loved ones (especially family).

You wouldn’t be surprised to find many likely couldn’t recall the last time they said “I love you” face to face to their moms or dads, daughters or sons.

But we do show our affections and appreciations in other ways.

For my mom, it’s Chinese soups.

Not only because it’s healthy, soothing, & comforting, but flavorful Cantonese soups traditionally takes hours and hours to make.

Mom, thank you for your care, patience, & love for us! 🙂

According to Chinese medicine practices, many Chinese soups have health benefits such as improving immune system, skin conditions (beauty effects!!), appetite, or cure sickness.

This Chinese Pork Bone Soup with Carrots & Corn is one of the most popular & easiest Cantonese soups to make. I just love the sweetness from the corn & carrots! 🙂
